So I am not actually in any of the boats any of the others are describing. The only 'viras tool' I have is Windows Defender and turning that off briefly did not do anything.
I have tried disabling the adapter - Nothing

It all comes back to 'Unidentified network'. Digging further into this I found this exact same issue occurred on Windows 8.1 for some users upgrading from Windows 8. Every post was the same. The driver and hardware are fine as the device is sending packets but it is not able to receive packets packet.

So, if any Microsoft person has any thoughts here, please chime in.
EDit:
Found another link to a couple of other articles talking about deleting the DNI-DNE entry in your netcfg via command line. Obviously this is not the answer as lots of people are still saying this is not working, not found or it does not pertain to them (DNI_DNE entries are made for VPN clients, if you do not have a VPN client, you do not have the entry).
So it seems that something else is going on here. And it needs a fix... soon.
![]() Realtek Ethernet Controller Driver Windows 10 32 Bit
I've been working on this issue for about the past 8 hours. I booted up my pc and there's a pc monitor with a cable and a red X icon where the wifi symbol should be. I've literally tried everything!
I reset my pc, took out the cable for 10 minutes, took out my ram for 10 minutes, reset my cmos, flashed my bios, and updated my driver. I used my other working pc to download the realtek drivers and transferred the files via USB and tried to install them, and I'd get an error saying: 'The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable'. I did everything in this video :::: but that didn't work either. In the video, if you skip to 1:04 where he's viewing the device manager, you see that he has a tab that says Other devices, and then right under that it says Ethernet controller. I have the same exact thing, but it doesn't say Ethernet controller, it says unknown device. This makes no sense. I try to connect a wifi adapter, but the pc doesn't recognize it. I connected my Ethernet cable, and still no luck. My motherboard is the Asus rampage V extreme. I've looked on threads throughout here, but nothing works. Please, I really need help. Thanks in advanced Comments are closed.
